While I Hunted For Homes In West Jordan, I Found A Fantastic Website

By Alec A. Balistreri

For most people there is a natural transition from being a continual apartment dweller to becoming a home owner, and when this happened to me, I wanted to start looking at homes in West Jordan because of the look location near I-15 and between Salt Lake and Utah County. Obviously, before I started looking, I figured it would be a good idea to get myself prequalified for a loan as I knew that I had a decent amount of savings and that, combined with my high credit score and good job would make it possible.

Once the loan was approved and I had the necessary documentation, I was prepared to find a home that would not only be a good investment, but a place to live in comfort. After qualifying for a loan, I got on my computer and began using the Internet to find out which properties were available so I could look at them and evaluate each one carefully so that I could have some properties in mind before I called up a real estate agent.

The website that I used for this process was one that had been recommended to me by a friend and I found that it had a lot of really good information and allowed a person to search for very specific kinds of properties. After spending a few minutes to familiarize myself with the features of this website, I was able to rapidly narrow down the list of potential homes in West Jordan to the ones that best seemed able to not only retain their value, but to provide suitable living space for myself and my family.

I made a phone call to a real estate agent whose name popped up when I was looking at this website and she was more than willing to work together with me, arranging a tour of some of the homes I had liked, which permitted me to see what I wanted in person and make a more educated decision. I returned to my home that night, debating with myself about each of the top homes I had visited on my tour until just before I went to bed when I made a decision that I told my real estate agent about the next morning.

It takes a surprisingly long time to purchase a home, but I was patient and before too long, I was ready to move into my new place for the first time as the owner and not as a renter. A month or so afterward, I was having a chat with an old college roommate, who informed me that she was looking for a home in the Sugarhouse area and when I heard that, I told her that I knew where she could get the perfect information about homes from the very best Utah real estate listings.
