Fantastic Atlanta: Learn About It

Have you been to Atlanta? Have you considered moving, or at least visiting there? There is a few things to know about the ATL. First thing's first... It is quite large. I mean, we're talking really large. This isn't your average the USA|the USA town.

Atlanta, GA metropolitan vicinity has living in it approximately 5.4 million human beings living in it. This does in fact make it the 2nd largest in the SE United States, and puts it in a firm ninth place when ranked against all of the other cities in the entire U.S.A.. The United States itself currently has right around 307 million people within its borders. This means that the metropolitan area of the ATL hosts somewhere in the area of 1/57th of the entire population of the U.S.. Or, to put it differently, the population of Atlanta is somewhere in the area of 1.75% of the population of the entire United States.

And... It shows no signs of its growth stopping. The Atlanta, Georgia area has seen an increase of population growth since the seventies. 2000-2008 alone it added about 1.1 million residents to its ranks.

Let's talk about criminal activity. If you're considering moving to the ATL, this like anything else might, of course be a concern. Fantastic news! The crime rate has actually been declining as well. According to the FBI, from 2001 to 2009 the crime rate in the ATL declined by nearly forty percent. That IS something amazing, is it not?

The city of ATL has as many as thirty schools of higher learning. Education isn't only limited to just institutions of higher learning, but also includes many elementary schools, and secondary schools as well. As of 2007 the system of public schools has an active enrollment of approximately 50k students.

the ATL may be the place to make your first million -- or at least that's what statistics would have you believe. Because, as it turns out, the ATL is expected to have an increase of 69% in the number of millionaires through 2011. This number is estimated to land at right around the mark of 103,000 households by then.
